The Kitteridge ranch on the Klamath marsh had one.

I thought the tilt tables were for trimming cattle feet not horses. I don't think a horse will tolerate being strapped in and tilted.

University large animal surgical facilities, as well as large veterinary practices, have tilt tables for horses for surgery. I've never seen one used without deep sedation or general anesthesia when the horse is tilted. It would be a very expensive trim.

Nora, what ever a horse won't tolerate needs to be done until they will tolerate it. Ain't much an animal can do when they get chiched to a table. Kitteridge had about 100 brood mares that just run out on Abraham flat the year around so they probley built the table to trim both feet and testicals. Thigley had been to college and didn't think like the old bucaroos that did everything on the end of a rope. He was the one that decided to use tractors to do the haying.

They do several of the dude strings in this area. Most horses are fine with it after the first time.

I think a tipping table is a great idea if you have more than a few to do and they are range-type horses that don't get handled a lot. My Nebraska friend Charlie Dush raises red roan Belgians and has toyed with the idea of getting one also, but has no idea where to look. Might be something a guy has to build. The first time you put a horse in stocks and tie their feet up, they don't like it so well either. They learn. I know the guys on the PMU lines use them.
