Don't really know what the common name is for Herefords, but in Wisconsin we refer to Hereford/Angus crosses as white faces.

White face, cancer eyed prolapsers; big titters. On a good note they are feed efficient and cross well with black angus. Also used to be easier to handle.

Don, Your comments reminded me of a joke from my brother who is also a vet. A Saler cow, an angus cow and a hereford cow are running to the fence. The Saler jumped it without touching a wire. The angus crawled through the wires like an escape artist. The hereford got to the fence laid down and prolapsed.
