twine for a corn binder
Posted by matt klein at 2014-07-09 15:20:44
Just picked up an IH ground driven corn binder. What kind of twine was used in the canister? Also parts still available for these as this one is really similar to my pro driven one.

EZ spreader (330) 852 2666 offer aftermarket parts for IHC corn and grain binders. They may have the parts you need.

Go to a feed store and order "binder twine".

Binder twine; the same that was used by the AC little round baler. I have more than I will ever use. It would cost some to ship. How much I don't know, I did take some down to Minnesota several years ago. The local steam threshers orderd it and it came by the pallet. They took only a few bales and left cenex with the rest. I got a fire sale price because they were------ off at them doing that. There are 6 balls to a bale.

Realy not for sale; but if somebody can't get it try Tappen Farn supply. Tappen North Dakota.

B.W. Macknair has just about any parts you need. Binder twine is still available through many feed and farm supply stores. We carry it at our feed mill. Let me know if you need any.
