Mini Mule Harness
Posted by Jana Green at 2014-07-08 17:19:51
Just wondering if anyone here is familiar with Robinson harness makers in Holton Kansas. I was gonna order a harness for my mini mule that I am starting to drive and was wondering if they are using good leather and quality work. They say they do in their ad but we all know how that is! wanted to hear from some one that knows because once I measure my mule who is a bit under 35 inches but a longer back than a pony and if I special order it and it does not fit I can not return it because of special order. Thank you

I bought a team for mules from him that were "13". That was 5 years ago. One of them got sickly looking last year. Had the vet out and vet aged him around 30. Can't speak for the harness just the maker.

I got a set of work harness for my team of mini mules from Crystal Valley Harness out of Shipsea Indiana five years ago and have been very pleased with them . The harness has spots and I show them in it . I also use the same harness to haul firewood and to spread manure . They are 35 and 36 inch mini mules with a bit of life in them if not worked regular , The harness has held up very well and looks good .

Several years ago, I bought a set for a team of 35" mini mules form St Paul Saddlery of St Paul MN. ( 953 W 7thST, 55102. I was very happy with it. Included hames and collars 612-222-5616.

Don't know if they are still in business

Beware. Do you mean you bought a team that was supposed to be 13 yrs. of age?

Yes. I should have known better or had someone with me. It was a learning experience.
