Shires at the Midwest Horse Fair
Posted by Charlie T at 2014-04-11 20:29:38
Does anyone know who was showing the team of black and white shires at the Midwest Horse Fair today? I really admired this well-trained and calm team when I saw them this afternoon, but I didn't have time to stay and talk to the teamster. They were hitched up 4-abreast on a forecart and hay rake and I was just amazed at how well they hitched and maneuvered through the crowds.

Where was the Midwest Horse Fair that they would already show a hay rake ?

Good question! They were just pulling it around the arena as part of the draft horse review, not raking anything with it. The other hitches consisted of wagons, coaches, carts, etc. The midwest horse fair is in Madison, WI.
