Union of South Africa.

Ok, I am aware that Africa is a continent and not a country. I put the questions up here exactly as they appear in the book. At the time the book was printed South Africa was a province rather than a country and was ruled by Britain. It became a republic in 1961. Perhaps the authors should have said "in" Africa rather than "of" Africa.

Jerry....I wouldn't worry about how the questions are worded, they are worded for what was appropriate for the time, back in the 1930's when the book was written.

It makes for a good history lesson.

I have so far only edited one post from the book and that was for an answer that in this day and age would be racist. (It was just as racist then, but was part of common lingo for the time)

I also agree with asking as in that time period, that is a history lesson included. So many people think the British ended their colonies with 1776.
