Thanks, and thanks again....

Just wanted to give a big thank you to all on this forum. As a vocation, I am in sales (outside) which means I drive to a farm, get out of my truck, bug whoever happens to be at the farm, get back in my truck, drive to the next farm.....rinse and repeat (if you know what I mean). This morning I pulled up to Wes's place just as he was hitching to go feed. We drug a few round bales around and had a great time (at least I did). The whole experience made me think of all the others on here who are probably the same caliber of people. So, a special thanks to Wes for letting me tag along and thanks again to the rest of this group. For who you are, what you do and what you stand for.

You will never meet better folks than Wes, Becky and their family. Good people to the core. He is training my boys and I on how to raise cattle, show steers in particular. He is always willing to coach us along. I swear when he sees my number on his phone he cringes about what stupid hair brained idea he is going to hear next.

I have not met anyone from the porch that isn't the same type of good folks. Maybe it has more to do with the rural living than anything else.

Did you get to use the Verle hooks and the Verle unroller, behind the Idaho mules?

Jacob, I know what you're talking about. Good folks here. Who was powering the unroller for you?

KM, I've been there when Wes' phone shows your number, and it's a grin, not a grimace, on his face.

Jake you're welcome any time as are all my other friends. Much as I love what I'm doing it is nice to have company.
I like to visit (too much according to my wife) on the phone as well and Kari, you do come up with some cool ideas.
I agree with Nonie and others as to the nice folks I've met through this board. Very enjoyable.
Jake I was going to tell you the cow I went and checked had hind legs poking out of her. Had to rope her to a fence post and pull it. Saved calf and mama so I was lucky there.
Been calving my uncle's cows and my heifers this last few days and am just about whooped. Not much sleep, not much time to chat on the computer.

Wes, good to hear the cow and calf are ok. Noni, it was your big mare and a really patient mule. They both did great. Kari, we did use the Verle equipment. Everything worked like a charm. Thanks again to all.
