competetive eating
Posted by smith at 2010-02-28 22:08:03
I have been been putting three colts in the tie stalls to feed their hay, they are eating way less than if I throw it in the pen as a whole. They are not gobbling it down as fast and could be they will get more bang out of it that way(I hope). Hay is short and my hens are almost on strike! We this whole little town could use a stimulus ! Spring is coming, geese are paired, chickadees are going dee dee! Surprised that there are still about fifty head of elk hanging around the edge of town as someone sees a wolf every few days.

Many are thinking about turning out their cows here. Cheat grass is growing on the south slopes and the north slopes are thawing out. Crocus is blooming and the tulips are springing out of the ground. Just about 2 months before the usual. Snow pack is at 50% so will be a dry summer for many this year and no springs running next year.
