My wife and I will be in Charlotte this weekend looking after the grandkids. Was wondering if any one knew of any places of interest (tack shop, harness shop, auctions- farm and/or horse, draft horse farms, etc) that a bored Poppy might visit Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Any thing within 50-60 miles would be of interest. Thanx for the help.

You might enjoy visiting Historic Brattonsville just west of Rock Hill SC.

You sure you wanna travel the next three days, weather is supposed to be aweful. I'm not aware of anything around Charlotte except the Bass Pro Shop and the gigantic mall it's situated in. It's sure to be dry and warm in there, but then you'll have to be in amongst all those people. I'd rather tote a beatin then go to a mall.
While you're drivin down I-85, toot your horn when ya pass exit 108. My little farm runs along side the interstate on the southbound lane.
Drive safely, they're callin for snow and freezing rain tonight, tommorrow and Sat!

Maybe the weather will not be bad, as we are here now. We come in on 74 as my daughter lives on the southeast side (Pineville). That's why you didn't hear mu horn.
thanx

Sunday might not be rainey but everything is soakin wet. The folks a Latta Plantation were talking about soing some horse farming about a year ago. I've never been there so I can't rate it.
If thge kids are the right age and every one gets cabin fever and you have money Ray Splash Planet is where my daught took her kids last year to blow the stink off. They probably been to Discovery Place. Neither of these are horse related bu are indoors.
