Private Instruction on Modern Horselogging in Virginia
Posted by Jason Rutledge at 2008-03-14 20:13:29
Hello Porch Folks,

My son and I are conducting our spring private instructional course during the week of 7-11 April 2008. We will put our guest up in the beautiful Bent Mountain Lodge here in the village of Copper Hill, Va.
This is a good opportunity for anyone that wants to learn the skills of how to practice restorative forestry and the ethics of why to work this way. We take everyone to the barn with us in the morning and on to the woods all day. We are filming some of the event this year so you might see yourself on RFD later if you attend.

This is not a cheap course, nor is it intended for casual participation. You will have to have your own personal protective gear to learn chainsaw safety and skills. It is adult education so everyone should know what they want to learn. We only have a few places available and some are already filled. We don't have a big profit margin to afford lots of advertising so we thank Rural Heritage for having the front porch as a cyber network to connect with any interested students through this forum.

You will learn things here that you won't read in any article or see on any video. You will never see the forest the same again or your horses. Call or contact us via email: 540-651-6355 or .

Enjoy spring, drag your pastures, spread your manure and get ready for the coming season. This is what we are doing around our continued restorative forestry business that pays the bills. Thanks Rural Heritage.

Jason Rutledge, Biological Woodsman
