  • Source of power: 2 Suffolks, small tractor.
  • Horses are used for: discing, plowing, cultivating hay, logging, sugaring.
  • Acreage: 276 in vegetables, orchard, small berries, sugar bush, fields, woodland.
  • Other livestock: chickens, cattle, horses, turkeys, bees.
  • Skills offered in: beekeeping, building, canning, preserving, pottery, gardening, blacksmithing, working horses.
  • Work hours: 3 days/wk; part time work available.
  • Terms: work & training in exchange for cabin and share of all produced; one year and seasonal openings.
  • Stipend: possible.
  • Accommodations: small rustic cabin amidst gardens.
  • Apprentice must: be self-motivated and patient, have a desire to learn, interact with kids.
  • Visit first: if possible.
  • Trial period: application available.
